As many concert goers have learned over the years, ticket prices have continued to soar. However, on a gorgeous spring day in Manhattan at the renowned Irving Plaza, Live Nation decided to buck the trend. From May 2 to May 9, all Live Nation concert tickets can be had for just $20! That’s right! $20. Celebrating this incredible offering, Live Nation hosted National Concert day where Rock Stars and their fans converged for what would be an amazing night of LIVE entertainment featuring Jason Aldean, Foreigner, The Roots, Daughtry, Prince Royce, Straight No Chaser, and Nickelback. ROCK TITAN TV was LIVE on the scene for the pre-show press conference. Interviews were had with Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic), Adam Lambert, Phillip Phillips, John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), Mick Jones & Kelly Hansen (Foreigner), Chris Daughtry, Gary Pihl (Boston), and more.
Rock Titan TV participated in a press conference grouping where we were the only team with a video camera. So, we decided to take full advantage of featuring the Rock Stars of today as only we can. We’ve included the interviews below. Rock Titan Press Photographer Tom Collins and Video Jockey Scotty J had the chance to fire off some questions both intellectual and entertaining. The dominant message from these Rock Stars is that they love their fans. Without you packing out the venues and stadiums where they perform, there’s not much of a career to be had in the music industry anymore. We all know full well that music sales have suffered the wrath of the digital age. The interviews below will only reinforce why these Rock Stars deserve your continued support.
Once the Live Nation Press Conference session ended, the evening would continue as Lilliana Vazquez from the Today Show served as M.C.. Kicking off the night was Country Music star Jason Aldean supporting his new album and upcoming tour “THEY DON’T KNOW”. Aldean included the song “They Don’t Know” in his set which was an evident crowd pleaser. One of the greatest music selling bands of all time, Foreigner, came up next in the rotation performing such classic hits as “Hot Blooded” and “Jukebox Hero”. Mick Jones proved that he’s still got plenty of energy for LIVE shows, and lead singer Kelly Hansen showcased a voice that should please any Lou Gramm fans. Up next was one of the most successful Rock Bands of the 21st Century, that being Nickelback! Supporting their summer tour “Feed the Machine”, with the ninth studio album and single of the same name, Chad Kroeger and company rocked the house! You know you’ve got a fan base when the audience can sing along to every single song on the set. Kroeger was clearly eating it up as he joked between songs that they perform and sound better the more inebriated everyone gets. Joining Nickelback for the second half of the set was none other than Chris Daughtry. The “Feed the Machine” tour will feature both Nickelback and Daughtry. So, it was a nice prelude to what one might expect to see as the summer ensues. Ironically enough these guys have toured quite a bit together. Check out the Daughtry interview below to find out what kind of hazing has gone on over the years.
The evening would wrap up with performances by Prince Royce and The Roots. Dominating the theme of the evening, and deservedly so, was TICKETS FOR $20! It’s almost impossible to go to the movies for less than $20 anymore. Given the choice to see a movie that you can rent for $1 at RedBox a few months after premiering or attend a concert which will never be replicated again, the decision is simple. Go out to LIVENATION.COM. Find the concert that will check off another box on your bucket list. Buy those tickets for only $20.
