The year was 2003. I’m driving down the road listening to 93.3 WMMR, and this song starts playing immediately sending electricity up my spine. From the moment I heard “Fly from the Inside” I was hooked on Shinedown! Of course ‘Leave a Whisper’ was 15 years and 6 studio albums ago. But, frontman Brent Smith and company haven’t broken stride while cranking out consecutive successful albums.

With their 6th studio album, ‘Attention Attention‘, Shinedown has once again delivered number one singles putting them in the company of Van Halen and Three Days Grace. “Devil” (Official Music Video seen below) became their 12th number one single back in May, and it is most worthy of the position. Not far behind was “Get Up” equally tearing up the billboard charts.

Rock Titan was unable to reach Brent Smith or Zach Myers for comment on the success of their most recent masterpiece. However, RT was fortunate enough to have photojournalist Ambler Irby (a.k.a. “Out With Ambler”) on the scene at Greensboro Coliseum, Greensboro, NC, USA! Not only was she able to capture some amazing stills (as seen in her gallery below), but she was able to provide her own account of the setlist:

Sound of Madness
Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom)
Cut the Cord
I’ll Follow You
Bully
Get Up
Enemies
Unity
State of My Head
Second Chance
Simple Man (Lynyrd Skynyrd cover)
Devil

It was only appropriate Shinedown would perform two of their most recent hits much to the crowds pleasure. Endearing themselves even more to their fans, Zack and Brent ventured out to the soundboard to perform “Simple Man”, giving even the cheap seats a first class view. Being all class, Brent even took the time to shake hands of the photographers in the pit.

As Shinedown wraps up their 2018 tour with Godsmack, they’ve announced 18 new dates in 2019 that will be supported by Papa Roach and Asking Alexandria. Remaining tour dates are as follows:
