Back in the 1970’s a Chevelle was one of the most wicked muscle cars on the street. In 2017, Chevelle is a hugely popular alternative metal band with the same kind of muscle and power!!! Formed in 1995 in Chicago, the brothers Pete Loeffler(lead vocals and guitar), Sam Loeffler (drums and percussion) and Joe Loeffler (bass and backing vocals) became Rocks new, heavy power trio. But with their success came internal family issues between the brothers. Joe left the band only to be later replaced with another family member, brother-in-law, Dean Bernardini. And a solid replacement he became! The band never missed a step and in fact, continued to thrive and grow more popular.

This past Thursday night, Chevelle drove it’s music hard into The Fillmore in Philadelphia! The band is out on tour in support of their most recent release, The North Corridor. As great as their new music is, the fans always want to hear the older stuff and Chevelle did not disappoint! The brothers tore into their hits like The Clincher, Take Out the Gunman, Vitamin R, Face to the Floor and Hats Off to the Bull!!! The set was virtually all hits, peppered with a few newer songs that will surely become Chevelle classics as well! The packed house was into every moment and bone crushing riff laid out by the band. And to leave the Philadelphia fans feeling more than satisfied, they ended with an encore of Last Days, The Red and arguably their biggest song, Send the Pain Below!!!
Chevelle, the Loeffler brothers sounded fantastic and looked like they have a lot more music left in their career! They will be on the road touring well into the Fall. I would say it’s a pretty safe bet that we’ll see them again soon after that and on major festivals as well! See their current dates at GETMORECHEVELLE.COM
