Interview & “The Weathermaker Vault Series” Review By Scotty J
Photos and Intro by Out With Ambler

Clutch has played the Raleigh, North Carolina area countless times, but that doesn’t matter. When Clutch is playing, I, along with their die-hard fans, come running! Relentlessly supporting their critically acclaimed Book Of Bad Decisions, the Maryland boys show no signs of road weariness on stage. Keeping their fans satiated with older favorites as well as tunes from the current album makes for some very happy Gearheads! Catch Clutch on the road NOW with Dropkick Murphys!

What does Scotty J think of “The Weathermaker Vault Series”

Evil – Cover of Cactus! Entire arrangement is great. Fallon sounds awesome. Any drummer trying to match Appice deserves respect. Guitar is pretty sick. Bass doesn’t really come close to Bogert though.

Precious and Grace – Clutch pays homage to one of their influencers and idols in ZZ Top. Staying true to the original sound is evident. But once again Neil Fallon proves how he’s simply one of the best vocalists in Rock N Roll.

Electric Worry – a Clutch original fan favorite! What’s differs from “The Weathermaker Vault Series” vs From Beale Street to Oblivion is obviously the lineup. Why a remake of this song? Neil goes on to explain in the interview below.

Expect more awesome releases as part of “The Weathermaker Vault Series”. It is an interesting experiment with Fallon himself saying as much. I expect this experiment to be a very successful one. There is the potential to generate some nice record sales. But even more important is the opportunity to reclaim ownership of their music. Even then, Clutch are road dogs. They live to tour and play live in front of there fans. That’s where the money is at after all these days. It’s also the best way to appreciate the music of one of the best bands in the history of Rock N Roll.
