Death Dealer is one of those metal bands that definitely doesn’t get the proper respect they deserve. They may not have had the commercial success one usually associates with major headline status. But, the music Death Dealer has created through their first 2 albums (particularly ‘Hallowed Ground’) should have opened eyes and ears. Featuring not 1 but 2 lead guitarists in Stu “The Hammer” Marshall and ROSS “THE BOSS” FRIEDMAN (Manowar), and the vocal chops of Sean “The Hell Destroyer” Peck (Cage, Denner/Shermann, The Three Tremors), you’ll be consistently left wondering why you’re not hearing them on Liquid Metal more often. Maybe they just need a new record?
Full Interview with Death Dealer’s Stu Marshall
In Rock Titan’s most recent interview with Stu Marshall, it was revealed album #3 is on the way!
Scotty J: When is Death Dealer’s new album going to be done? When is it coming out? Are we talking 2019?
Stu Marshall: Definitely 2019. I’m looking at a calendar right now. We’re in February. I am expecting the album to be mixed and mastered by the end of April. We’ll look at a release schedule. Our plan is to tour Europe in the later half of this year. So yeah, it’s coming out and I can not wait to play. I know every artist says this stuff man. But, let’s face it. We’ve got a lot of pressure on us. The third album is the make it or break it album.
Scotty J: Yes it is. The third one is a big one! Now do we have a name for it?
Stu Marshall: We have not got a title. But, what we have is these song titles are really cool. I can tell you we’ve got some working titles. There’s a track called “Beauty and the Blood”, which is a great King Diamond kind of story. It’s one of those big epic horror stories. We’ve got a song called “Hail to the King”, which is real true metal. So there’s going to be lots of cool titles that may lead to an album title. We’re right at the tail end. It’s going to get done.
