Motionless In White lights up the tour trail in advance of Disguise

Out With Ambler recently caught up with Motionless in White on tour with Wilson and Atreyu! What were her thoughts? “My online social feeds have been abuzz for quite some time over the most anticipated rock show to hit our area (Lynchburg, VA at Phase 2), Motionless In White. That buzz is very apparent as the venue was thick with excitement for this great act. Indeed, Motionless in White has a very loyal and passionate fanbase. Their 5th studio album, ‘Disguise‘, is due out June 7 via Roadrunner Records. A powerful follow up from ‘Graveyard Shift‘, here are some thoughts on what we know about this new release so far…

Just a few weeks ago, an official music video was released representing the title track of MIW’s new album ‘Disguise’. It’s a powerful message symbolic of the mental health issues that seemingly plague today’s society. A Gollum like creature reflects that of a tortured soul. Whether it is facing issues of addiction or any behavioral/emotional health issues, it’s about having the strength to recognize and overcome.

“Brand New Numb” is the lyrical incarnate for Freedom of Speech. It’s that invisible tool that can take on any form. A most powerful weapon that can be used for good or evil. This power has a long history of infiltrating minds without mercy. In an age of hypersensitivity, what is said verses what is heard has a much deeper and significant impact. The 24×7 news cycle and social media driven society spews information with reckless abandon. How is all that information consumed, received, and digested? Indeed it is enough to make one almost numb.

Well ahead of the fall 2019 season, Motionless in White unleashes “Undead Ahead 2: The Tale of the Midnight Ride”. Talk about an awesome animated video! No cooler song has ever been written about the Headless Horseman. This should be a part of anyone’s Halloween soundtrack. I can definitely see this song supporting any new all hallows eve themed tv shows or movies. It’s dark, graphic, and hard core. Yet, in todays age of “what is acceptable entertainment”, I can see this being commercial friendly.
