Dropkick Murphys - 11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory Review By Scotty J

What has taken me so long? I've wanted to see Dropkick Murphys live for YEARS, and tonight in Raleigh, NC I got my chance! The energy! Oh my goodness this was exactly what I was anticipating! When listening to Dropkick Murphys, one can't help but be put in a good mood. So, when you are singing along with a few thousand or so people, those fans quickly become your friends. Especially with the encouragement of the band to grab the people next to you to sway and sing along. Dropkicks set, with twenty-one songs spanning their twenty-three year career, left the audience well satisfied. I must say I absolutely can not wait for the guys to come around next time!

Dropkick Murphys - 11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory

The Lonesome Boatman - This song is not built for a small space. The ultimate crowd sing along. Love the tin flute.

Rebels with a Cause - For some reason I’m just picturing a car race. Powerful, loud, fun song. If this doesn’t become an all time fan favorite, people got issues.

Blood - Bag pipes and rock n roll. What could be cooler. Definitely has that anthem type feel. Once of those songs that would bring the deadest crowds to life in overwhelming fashion.
