P.J. has played every arena/theater/outdoor pavilion and club all over the world. In 2002 P.J. joined up with Active Rock chart toppers RA (Universal/Republic) in which he embarked on the 2nd chapter of his recording and touring career. Sneaking into the modern hard rock genre and touring with bands like Staind, Seether and Sevendust, P.J. was able to remain relevant and creative in the music business while Trixter took a 13 year hiatus.

In 2009 P.J. was asked to join up with Grammy nominated female artist Lita Ford and toured worldwide with her for almost 4 years. At that time Trixter had also reemerged to release 2 new studio records in 2012 and 2014. P.J. and Trixter would continue to tour the world once again. In 2016 P.J. released his first solo album ‘Boutique Sound Frames’ in which he wrote, produced and performed all instruments himself. In 2017 had P.J. join forces with Eric Martin of Mr. Big touring Japan and the US as well as being the backup band for Comedian Jim Breuer.

Errant Thoughts on P.J. Farley Sophomore Solo Album ‘Accent The Change’ by Scotty J

Wait and Fade – In this sophomore effort by Farley, he doesn’t seem to have missed a beat. This opening track has an upbeat vibe despite the more sullen themed lyrics.

Walking Backwards – P.J. has such a great rock n roll sound. This song is great lyrically. It actually gives you a physical experience that is tangible.

Let it Rain – I love this bluesy jazzy sound! The piano is a great touch. P.J. almost has a Bruce Hornsby sound. This music video made its debut on That Jamieson Show.

Chokehold – Do not confuse this with Ted Nugent’s “Stranglehold”. Two totally different sounds. That said I continue to be impressed by P.J.’s singing chops.

Slow – Nice drum beat, sultry acoustic guitar, and man those vocals. P.J. could have been the frontman of a band long ago! This track definitely lends itself to a sweet love ballad. He almost exhibits a David Grohl vocal sound.

You Would Know – You would know if only you were here. Isn’t that the truth. If you don’t pay attention to what’s going on around you it’s easy to miss out on something truly special.

The Good Life – Is everybody enjoying this album yet? I love hearing a different side of an musician. P.J.’s music here couldn’t be more different than what he’s done with Trixter. You get an honest look into the artists soul with such a display of musical diversity.

P.J. Farley – My Reason

My Reason – This is pure poetry. There’s some deep beautiful emotion on display here. It’s the tale of a relationship between a father and his child. This is about as special a gift a child could receive from their parent. I know there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for my kids. I can only hope to articulate my feelings as PJ has.

Comfortable Silence – What a smooth and comforting voice. Seriously. Farley really reveals his musical talents on the final track of this beautiful album.

P.J. continues to tour around the world and recording his 2nd solo record, working with Detroit based engineer Chuck Alkazian and RA frontman Sahaj Ticotin who recently co-wrote songs with Nikki Sixx for The Dirt soundtrack as well as writing and producing Sevendust front-man Lajon Witherspoon‘s debut solo CD. P.J. signed with HighVolMusic in February of 2020 for the release of his 2nd solo effort title ‘Accent the Change’. P.J. can also be seen touring with AEW star and singer Chris Jericho with his band Fozzy.
