RAVENSCROFT New EP “See Through” pays tribute to NIN with “Head Like A Hole”

RAVENSCROFT is a band that deserves your thorough attention! I hadn’t been familiar with them since there inception. But, once I heard their newest EP “See Through’, a RAVENSCROFT marathon became a must. Ralph Buso has the kind of voice that keeps him in the conversation for some of the best vocalists in the industry. His rendition of Nine Inch Nails “Head Like A Hole” should definitely garner Trent Reznor’s attention.

What did Rock Titan think of “See Through”? Here are some errant thoughts by Scotty J:

Always Falling – Killer riffs and Ralph shows off some vocals resembling that of Jonathan Davis! Seriously. RavensCroft is by no means Korn. The point is if you like Korn then RavensCroft deserves your attention.

Anything – These guys prove to be a more polished band than they’re given credit for. This song deserves some serious air play. How does a band get noticed? A track like this should seal the deal.

Bed of Nails – No. This isn’t a play on Bon Jovi’s “Bed of Roses”. Live with the consequences of your actions is all this is saying. Over all a cool tune and well produced.

See Through – The title track arrives and immediately grabs you with Ralph’s vocals. See Through proves RavensCroft is for real. Just a solid band and a great sound. In our interview, Ralph expands upon the songs meaning. So check it out!

Vengeance is Mine – Kicking things off with some killer bass play, this is perhaps the hardest song of the EP. I continue to be impressed with Buso’s vocals and range. I find myself wishing I could see these guys live sooner than later.

Head Like A Hole (Nine Inch Nails cover) – As I was perfectly candid with Ralph in the interview, if you’re going to play a cover it must be as good if not better than the original. You have to own it! Trent Reznor is an idol of Buso’s. I’d so love for Reznor to hear this! RavensCroft absolutely crushes this!
